Instructions for using SPD-Belts
Thank you for chosing the SPD-BELT. We hope that you will enjoy it as we do.
SPD-BELT was developed by PD patients for the benefit of their colleagues!
Please read carefully the instructions below. In any case of uncertainty please
consult your doctor or nurse. You may contact us as well according to the
details below.
How to use the SPD-BELT
1. Insert the catheter's into the belt's pocket.
2. Pocket should be on the abdomen side.
3. wear the belt aroumd your waist. Close the belt tidily and comfortable your
body.
Removing the SPD-BELT
1. Release the belt.
2. Take the catheter out of the pocket.
3.. Insert the catheter into the belt, and wear the belt again.
Precautions
1. Always use the belt with care! Pulling forced that are applied on the belt
may pull the catheter, too! Take extra
care at the first days till you learn how to use it with
care.
2. Wash the belt occasionally.
3. Do not use the SPD-BELT for any purpose other than the PD catheter.
4. If any redness and/or sensitivity appears on your skin near the catheter
site, please remove the belt and visit
your doctor.
Maintenance
1. The SPD-BELT can be washed in a washing machine. Max allowed temperature:
40C (100F).
2. Ironing is alowed in low temperature.
3. Do not expose the SPD-BELT to direct sunshine for a long time period.
